California-style Pizza with Nectarines, Arugula and Balsamic Drizzle

Pairs well with Sonoma County Chardonnay

Makes: 1 12-inch, thin crust pizza

Ingredients
  • Pre-made, thin crust pizza shell (If frozen, allow to thaw)
  • Fresh arugula, chopped
  • Nectarine
  • Fresh mozzarella ball, sliced
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Top the pizza shell with sliced mozzarella. Layer sliced nectarine on the mozzarella. Then, lightly toss shredded parmesan on top.
  3. Bake for 14-16 minutes until cheese bubbles and edges are brown.
  4. Meanwhile, make the drizzle. Simmer the balsamic in a small saucepan for about 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
  5. When pizza is finished baking, top with chopped arugula, and drizzle with the balsamic mixture.
